Walk and Talk
While being contained by the stillness and familiarity of a Counselling room can offer opportunity to connect in with subtleties of the felt experience sometimes movement can be more helpful. For clients who prefer to walk and talk or find being in the presence of nature more easeful, the same therapeutic offerings that are available in talk therapy can be accessed through walking therapy.
Evidence based research supports the benefits of nature immersion on the nervous system, with outcomes for nature-based, and walk and talk therapy being positive.
Walks are set to a pace, environment and distance that supports your needs, including location that supports confidentiality.
Walk and talk therapy can be coupled with Creative Arts expression through use of respectfully collected items, imagery and ideas in future sessions or home based integrative processes.
